We are looking to recruit a Payroll Assistant to join a busy team within a Payroll Bureau environment.

The Payroll Assistant will be involved in processing all aspects of payroll from start to finish for a number of clients in accordance with their deadlines, including setting up new staff, inputting contractual changes, communicating with the clients.

You will need to have a good knowledge of UK PAYE legislations and a good understanding of SSP, SMP, and other deductions. Understanding of auto-enrolment and pension schemes would be advantageous.

To be considered for this Payroll opportunity, you will have had at least two years experience working in payroll, and ideally, hold or be working towards a recognised payroll qualification. You will have a high attention to detail with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office. As a Payroll Assistant, you will be methodical and have meticulous organisational skills.

Ability to work to strict deadlines, have worked on varying pay frequencies and ideally have worked in a payroll bureau environment.
