Role: Business Development Executive

Salary: £20-25,000 Basic Salary + £30-35,000 Uncapped OTE + Benefits

Client

Out client operates in a niche sector within the public sector insurance industry, ad has recently gained FCA approval and is looking to build out their sales team. They have a strong management team and backing from a household name. This, combined with a fun and innovated company culture, makes an attractive proposition for a Business Development Consultant.

The Role

There is real career progression on offer as our client is extremely focused on the development of their employees. You will be trained in and exposed to customer liaison and sales.

Key Activities

Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Director, the key activities of the Business Development Consultant will be:

  • Responsibility for generating appointments, which will ultimately lead to your colleagues negotiating and closing the opportunities you create
  • Making outbound calls to generate new business appointments and leads
  • Maintaining long-term relationships to enable appointment generation
  • Following up on inbound enquiries to discuss new opportunities with prospective clients
  • Maintaining and cleansing the database to ensure the company’s CRM system is up to date

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have the following profile:

  • Demonstrate that you are confident, articulate and passionate about the products offered
  • An excellent and confident communicator by phone and face to face
  • Possess the ability to build new business relationships from scratch
  • Be organised in your work and able to manage varying workloads
  • Target driven, able to manage and exceed both sales and activity KPI’s
  • Enthusiastic and extremely self-motivated, able to work independently
  • Resilient and driven by the prospect of an excellent OTE
  • Ambitious and motivated team player who enjoys working in a high achieving fast moving environment
