We are currently seeking a Junior Buyer to work within a product departmental buying and merchandising team with accountability and responsibility for effective product development, range building and trading to deliver company KPI’s.
This will be a full time permanent position with a starting salary of £30,000.
Purpose of the role: To work efficiently with the departmental merchandising team in order to respond to trading performance, ensuring all practices are executed in a timely manner. Always putting the customer first when understanding the implications of problems and determining solutions.

Work with and manage suppliers to get the best quality, availability and price for our customers, keeping customers at the heart of decisions.
To build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders (and potential)
With the support of Buying Assistant, responsible for pricing, promotions, range management and website layout
Direct responsibility for landed costs, whilst maintaining excellent service levels from suppliers.
Regularly review new product opportunities and range performance - making any needed amendments as you go.
Working closely with colleagues you to complete continuous market research, comp shops and inspirational trips, which will then allow you to make qualified product recommendations to your manager.
Strategic ability - responsible for contributing the margins and category profitability goal
Work closely with the Merchandise team to ensure clear product strategies and KPI’s are delivered.
To work closely with the Marketing and E-commerce team in planning and delivering promotional strategies and continually developing the content of our website in line with company strategy
Ensure the successful roll out of processes and ways of working as the business expands in order maximise efficiencies and deliver success
Creative with an eye for product and spotting new opportunities
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle pressure.
Organised with strong time management skills
Ability to adapt in a fast paced environment
Ability to build strong relationships across the business
A confident communicator, with the ability to engage, influence and negotiate effectively
