Graduate Product Engineer
Unitemps have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Product Engineer for a manufacturing company in Stone.
The right candidate will be required to Engineer new or existing products to make the most efficient use of the skills and machinery in-house or specialist sub-contractors to deliver repeatable production within the assigned budget.
This is a 12 week Graduate Paid Internship with a view to becoming permanent at the end of the 12 weeks.
Duties and responsibilities
Engineering & communication of agreed manufacturing methods for products. Assistance with estimating, where required, by researching costs of new, manufactured products or sub-assemblies. Ability to work within CAD software to produce manufacturing drawings with relevant detail for cutting lists, manufacturing techniques & fixings. Liaising with sub-contractors over detail for drawings where required. Provide detailed standard operating procedures to support detailed drawings. Liaising with Planning team to assist in planning accuracy
Skills and experience
BA Hons in Product Design or Engineering.
Highly skilled in the use of CAD software (AutoCAD desirable).
Good IT skills with knowledge of the Office suite
