A superb small hotel in the Colchester area is seeking a Sous Chef to join its first class team. This fabulous establishment is well known in the area and has a reputation for producing the finest menu from fresh seasonal produce.
- The job will involve assisting the Head Chef in the running of the kitchen and ensuring that top quality food is served at all times.
- As part of the role you will be expected to maintain the hygiene of the kitchen at all times, oversee a team of chefs and prepare and cook dishes of a high standard at all times.
- The standards of this hotel are second to none and as such they expect all staff to fall in line with these standards.
- Ideally you will come from a Rosetted background, or will have worked in a restaurant of a good standard with all dishes freshly prepared.
- You will be strong under pressure and will be capable of working to high standards in a fast paced environment.
- Hours for the role will be 7am-5:30pm approx. with some evening work involved too for private parties/functions etc.
- The salary for the post will be based at around £24000 per annum with a share of gratuities added.
