Early Years Practitioner - East Grinstead
£16,500 - £18,500

Are you a passionate, experienced Nursery Nurse or Assistant with a degree or qualification in an Early Years childcare related course?

Do you have recent experience of working with young children and a keen interest in developing a career in Early Years? If the answer is yes then please get in touch.

You could have the opportunity to work on a full time basis at a private family run nursery in the East Grinstead area helping to support the manager in the day to day running of the setting and using the academic knowledge you will have gained to help guide other staff members and put what you have learned into practice.

The right candidate will have good communication skills and the ability to work with young children in a fast paced and hands on working environment with the confidence to work with children aged between 6 months and 5 years.

Requirements for the role:
Relevant Degree or qualification in a childcare/early years subject (Childhood Studies, Early Years Education, Early Childhood, etc)
Recent experience of working with children aged 0 -5
Knowledge of the EYFS and how to apply this in a setting
Eligibility to work in the UK

In this role as a Early Years Practitioner you will be:

Caring for children aged 0-5 years within a nursery setting and assisting the staff in caring for the children's needs.
Planning and delivering fun and exciting activities
Assisting with lunchtime activities
Ensuring the nursery is kept clean and tidy throughout the day
Working towards assessing the development of children through observations
Each day you will liaise with the team as well as parents, carers and other professionals to ensure we are meeting the needs of every individual child
You will help the children to learn, grow and develop by writing up reports and linking observations to the EYFS Framework

You will ideally have up to date knowledge on safeguarding policies and know how to encourage children's learning in the vital stages of development.
The role will require you to be hands on with your approach and get involved with different activities with the children. It is important that you can demonstrate confidence and be proactive at all times.
