Duty Support Worker
We have a Duty Support Worker job in Doncaster available and we’re looking for someone great to fill it. Could that be you?
You will be involved in working within the YMCA’s Supported Housing Project for young people aged 16 to 30. You will have a small caseload of up to six individual clients, and more during times of vacancy or absence of full time Keyworker / Coaches. In order to keep appropriate shift and support records, you need to have effective written communication skills and a sound educational background.
Your work will also involve contributing to the operation of a 24 hour, year round drop in provision for resident clients, including providing support with neighbour disputes, licence compliance, behavioural difficulties, finance and similar. You will need to feel able to work alone without supervision, and monitoring across four floors and two stairways will be essential to the role.
Our ideal candidate will have some experience of working with young people through paid employment or a substantial volunteering role, and will be able to work positively with young people and ensure that they achieve significant progress.
Rate of Pay:£7.50 per hour, paid weekly in arrears. £7.85 following satisfactory conclusion of the probationary period.
Hours of Work
An average of 40 hours per work, working variable hours including both daytime and night shifts.
