Places for People Living + are looking for positive Team Leader to lead the team who provide support to vulnerable adults and children across two schemes in Wellingborough and Bedford. Working closely with the wider team you will oversee the daily running of the sites ensuring the delivery of a high quality service to our users.

What your role will be

This role will see you lead the scheme and teams based at two sites, one of which supports vulnerable women and children who have fled domestic violence and the other supporting those with mental health related illness. Across both schemes we provide accommodation and bespoke services to our clients.
You will oversee the duration of a service user’s time at the scheme from receiving initial enquiries, accessing the service and then working with other agencies to meet the varied needs of our customers. Meeting our customers’ needs are essential to this post and you will ensure that all customers are regularly assessed ensuring the outcomes are always appropriate to the individuals and families. 
You will be a representative of Living+ and as such you will market and promote its services ensure the services are used to full capacity. As a Team Leader you will have responsibility for a team managing performance supporting them in their appropriate duties and carrying out supervision meetings and appraisals.
This post is subject to a satisfactory disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
This is a part time role based on 21 hours a week, covering Tuesday and Wednesday and two other days . We are able to flexible in which other days and also how these hours are accommodated.
Interviews for this role will be held on Thursday 1st June.

Your background

Places for People are looking for someone who is as spirited as we are to be considered for this role you will have experience working within a support setting with a vulnerable client group. An understanding of safeguarding is essential in the post. The ability to assess and monitor provisions of a support service is essential, this will extend to the associated health and safety and general housekeeping. Experience working within a property management environment with a focus on ensuring empty properties are best utilised.
You should have a planned approach to work with the ability to prioritise your own and others workload.
Experience within a team leader or supervisory role is highly desirable although we are happy to accept applications from individuals who are able to evidence stepping into a more senior role with responsibility on an informal or adhoc basis.  You will be a positive leader with the ability to get the best of a staff team across two locations. On occasion you will need to deputise for your own leader and you should feel competent and confident in doing so.
As you are required to travel between two schemes you will need access to means of mobility, ideally a driving license.
