My client is looking to recruit an experienced EL/PL Claims Handler to join their dynamic and forward thinking teams.

Working within the Commercial Liability Team, the key purpose of this role is pro-actively manage a portfolio of EL and PL cases from initial notification through to final settlement. Being a senior member of the team you will also support the training and development of new members of staff as well as taking responsibility for the management, negotiation and settlement of some of the more complex and high value cases.


Manage a caseload of EL and PL claims from notification stage through to final settlement.
Maintain workloads and deliver performance in accordance with agreed objectives, KPIs and SLAs.
Provide technical and coaching support to other members of the team.
Work within the parameters of the agreed business plan for Claims Operations.
Work within agreed processes in order to deliver the business plan in line with the Claims Operations policy
Ensure that Data Protection, FCA, TCF and any other regulatory requirements are met.
To adhere to Company processes with regard to FCA compliance and Treating Customers Fairly;
Other relevant duties as required from time to time.

Desirable Skills:

Knowledge of disease claims is an advantage, but not essential.
Experience in the handling of commercial property claims is also an asset, but not a requirement.
EL and PL experience gained in an Insurer or Loss Adjuster environment is preferred.
Progression with CII or CILA studies.
