We are currently recruiting an Occupational Therapy Assistant to work 24 hours per week between Monday to Friday.

Location: Alders Clinic, 155 Podsmead Road, Gloucestershire, GL1 5UA.

Salary/Benefits: £12,000, pension scheme, free staff meals, training and development opportunities.

If yes, this is the role for you! CAS behavioural health is a UK provider of specialist adult services in mental health rehabilitation and learning disabilities.

Alders Clinic is a specialist service that supports up to 20 women with personality disorders within a Locked Rehabilitation Service providing assessment, treatment and rehabilitation across three discrete clinical areas. It is a psychologically informed and planned service, delivered within an operational framework developed specifically to meet the needs of the patients we work with. This means that our inter-personal approach is consistent, boundaried, safe, resilient and clinically directed.

Job Role

You will contribute to the delivery of therapeutic activities appropriate to the client’s needs, choices and interests and complete identified assessments under the supervision and guidance of an occupational therapist (OT).You will assist the OT in the day to day duties and running of the department and also work closely with Therapy Coordinators and the full Multidisciplinary team. You will take the lead in a defined area of service delivery such as development of vocational and educational opportunities.

About You

The successful candidate for this role will be educated to GCSE/NVQ level (or equivalent) and have a desire to develop their career pathway in Personality Disorder services. Any relevant experience working in an OT team and/or with a similar client group is advantageous.

An understanding of the Occupational Therapy process and interventions is important along with an enthusiasm to develop skills and knowledge.

Specific Requirement

This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and we are committed to safeguarding and protecting the people within our care. Therefore, the successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check and an offer of employment will be subject to successful clearance.
