Our customers are at the heart of everything we do. As Technical Specialist you will provide project management and problem solving to the business unit to ensure our product meets the specifications and customer requirements, especially with regards to quality.
We are recruiting for a Technical Specialist based within the Hot Rolled Products department at our site in Port Talbot. Reporting to the Product & Process Manager, the purpose of the role is to drive continuous improvement activities aligned to the internal business metrics and the customer downstream performance. Within the role, you will liaise with internal customers, external customers, customer technical support engineers and commercial teams as necessary, to resolve issues and drive for improved performance. You will be responsible for the investigation of rejections, quality issues and complaints and liaise with the HRP shift management, HRP technical and central technical groups and necessary.
The incumbent of the role will support the Product and Process Manager in their duties and responsibilities and deputise where necessary and provide and develop quality expertise for our Hot Rolled Products department.
