A Top 10 Accountancy firm headquartered in Manchester are looking for a Payroll Specialist to join their dynamic payroll team due to the growth and year on year success the business has gone through. Located in Manchester City centre, it is easily accessable by public transport or driving (free Parking available) and offer fantastic career opportunities.

As a Payroll Specialist, your responsibilities will include:

  • Proven working experience within a Payroll capacity

  • The delivery of an effective Payroll Service, ensuring company policies, procedures and best practice are followed and updated as required

  • Accurate payroll administration of Company benefits scheme and pension

  • Assist with administration of P11Ds and End of Year processes
  • Timely and accurately calculating and processing payments of all authorised amendments to the payroll system, including sickness, maternity/paternity/adoption pay in accordance with HMRC legislation and supporting the process where needed

You will Have:

  • A proven knowledge of the entire lifecycle of payroll production from PAYE scheme creation to Year End
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel (pivots/lookups)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work as a team player and build effective relationships with all internal departments
  • Ability to prioritise workload around conflicting deadlines
  • Ability to establish good client relationships
  • Knowledge of Sage and CIS is desirable
