Elevation Recruitment Group are currently recruiting for a Payroll Officer on behalf of a well known manufacturing business in Barnsley. This 9-12 month fixed term contract is due to maternity leave and the ideal candidate will be available immediately or at short notice due to the urgency of the role. This role is responsible for the management of weekly payroll, reporting directly into the Payroll Manager.

Payroll Officer Duties & Responsibilities:

- Collating and processing sickness information and SSP
- Issuing outstanding salary cheques and distribution to teams
- Checking and supporting payroll across the whole business
- Ensuring the weekly payroll and associated procedures, meet all required deadlines, accuracy and quality targets
- Assisting in the monitoring, evaluation and development of internal payroll procedures and in the implementation of new systems and procedures when these occur
- P45 production/distribution
- Monitoring and processing changes to bank details and personal details
- Processing starters and leavers
- Assisting in Management of Pension deductions via payroll
- Filling and ensuring all administration documentation procedures are maintained
- Assisting with the process for all duties related to P11Ds
- Ensuring that the Payroll system is regularly maintained and updated

Elevation Accountancy & Finance are currently looking for individuals with the following skills and experience:

- At least 1 years experience within payroll
- Strong communication skills
- Good IT skills/ knowledge
