Development Manager - Siebel - City of London - Permanent - £75k - £85k Per Annum.

The Company
An experienced Development Manager with in depth technical knowledge and experience of Siebel is required by a Financial Services organisation based in the City of London.

The Role
The Development Manager's role is to plan, coordinate, and supervise all activities related to the technical design, development and implementation of information systems and software applications including; Siebel, Web, OpenText and Data. The Development Manager is also responsible for supporting, and upgrading existing systems and applications, working closely with the IT Operations Manager.

Responsibilities
Application Strategy & Planning
*Work closely with the Projects & Business Analysis team to collate and evaluate feedback and proposals from across the business from a technical context, in order to identify potential problem areas, and make the appropriate recommendations for continual improvement in applications services.
*Review and analyse existing application effectiveness and efficiency, and develop plans for improving or leveraging these systems to greater effect.

Development & Release Management
*Provide technical leadership to project managers and developers working on technology projects
*Own and plan demand management for IT application development and deployment services, ensuring the needs of business requirements, project requirements, IT maintenance and IT BAU support are managed.

Operational Management
*Direct the identification and resolution of application issues and errors, liaising with the wider CIO team to triage IT Incidents ensuring all incidents, problems and change requests follow the processes.
*Lead the design, develop, and installation of application patches, enhancements and upgrades to the systems and application suite to maintain system stability and support levels.
Management of team
*Manage and provide direction for the Development Team in support of business operations.
*Recruit, induct, appraise, develop, motivate and manage the performance of the team as required.
*Set individual objectives for team members that reflect Scheme strategy and priorities.

CIO Team
*Develop and maintain effective working relationships with other teams in the CIO.
*Provide a positive contribution to enable the wider CIO objectives to be achieved.

Experience Required
The Development Manager must have extensive experience of working with the Siebel architecture, and integrating Siebel into other systems. The primary applications and platforms which this role will be responsible for (and relative importance of experience) are as follows:
*Siebel CRM (Essential) Note, experience of 8.1.x is required. IP15+ with Open UI is preferable.
*SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) (Essential) Note, experience of 2012 is required.
*Microsoft.NET based claims website. (Preferred)
*Content Management (Beneficial) Note, EPiServer is preferable
*Document Management (Beneficial) Note, OpenText is preferable
*Finance / Payment Systems (Beneficial) Note, SUN and Bottomline is preferable
*Demonstrable experience of technical application solution architecture, development, delivery and support.
*Experience of delivering successful Siebel implementations (preferably within Financial Services).
*Proven experience of team management and leadership.
*Proven experience of supplier / third party management.
*Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
*Strong interpersonal and consultative skills.
*Ability to conduct research into emerging technologies and trends, standards, and products as required
*Able to prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
*In-depth technical knowledge including application architecture, application development lifecycle methodology (SDLC) and database architectures.
*Extensive knowledge and experience of managing application development lifecycle from requirements through to delivery and acceptance.
*Knowledge of ITIL V2 or V3.
