Paid Social Media Manager

The Role
My Clients social media department is experiencing rapid growth and as such there is an opportunity to join the team of this highly successful, award winning independent media agency and become part of their ongoing success story. The social team concentrates on paid social network advertising and content management, particularly on Facebook and Twitter. You will report into the Digital Account Director and the Digital Team Manager. This role will require you to work closely with clients and colleagues whilst also optimising campaigns across various social media channels.


Responsible for activation, optimisation and performance analysis for your allocated accounts or campaigns, this will specifically include:

  • Ongoing campaign optimization, including adjusting bids, altering keywords and refreshing creative
  • Adjusting bid levels in order to meet targets or optimize for best results
  • Reaching performance targets for allocated accounts
  • Regularly checking client credit and budgets
  • Delivering regular reports and analysis to clients, highlighting the key trends
  • Liaising with media owners (e.g. Facebook and Twitter) to trouble-shoot issues
  • Understand the requirements of your clients and report back to them with campaign results
  • Meet all campaign targets, ensuring the best ROI across paid social for clients
  • Work on campaign strategy, manage and optimise paid social campaigns and report back to clients and colleagues

Assist the Digital Team Manager by acting as a support to the exec team, providing support through guidance and training

Checking the output and quality of all exec work to ensure it is of the highest standard

Educate both client and colleagues by attending regular client and internal meetings, at least once a month

Other duties include
Liaising with media owners (e.g. Facebook, Twitter) on new activity and ensuring we are up to date with the latest beta tests

Creating proposals, including recommendations on budget weighting, target audience, and KPIs
Liaise with creative agencies to acquire creative assets
Deliver creative recommendations where appropriate
Consider innovative ways to boost campaign performance

Creating post-campaign analyses for Account Managers and Directors
Support managers and directors with strategy and new ideas for existing clients

Who are the agency looking for?

At least 18 months experience working within an integrated paid social position, agency experience is preferable however will consider candidates from client side with experience working with various budgets

A commercially focused, can do attitude

Experience in planning and buying within digital channels, specifically paid social media.

A strong passion for social media and digital advertising

A sound working understanding of bid management tools

Advanced working knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint

An excellent working attitude with an ability to work well under pressure mixed with a friendly and positive attitude

Have demonstrable experience of planning and activating paid campaigns across social media channels such as Facebook and LinkedIn
