gap personnel are proud to be representing a leading national manufacturer in their search for a CNC Shop Floor Supervisor.

This reputable company are a leading sub contract engineering company who produce milled and turned parts world wide.

  • The Shop Floor Supervisor will be responsible for:

  • Implementing the agreed Production Schedule.

  • Ensure all necessary materials, programs, tooling, calibrated inspection equipment & works instructions are available at the start of the production cycle.

  • Monitor all work-in-progress batch times.

  • Highlight any shortfalls, investigate and bring back into line.

  • Feedback information to office relevant to batch production issues.

  • Process improvements covering set-ups, cycle times & downtime.

  • Training staff under your supervision.

  • Use of manual resources to an effective means.

  • Tight Discipline and Control of Team Members.

  • Assist in other cell as and when required.

  • Setting machines as required.

  • Operating machines as required.

    Candidate Requirements:

  • Strong CNC background

  • Previous supervisory or team leader experience

  • Flexible and adaptable to change

  • Strong knowledge of Quality control and Health and Safety processes

    The successful candidate will work on a month of day shifts while training but then will be put on the evening shift which will be Monday to Friday 13.00pm to 21.45pm.

    Salary: £28K to £31K depending on experience

Due to the nature of the company the work may vary depending on the contracts they supply to.
