An exciting opportunity has arisen with our well established, Maidstone based client. The role itself is an Assistant Category Manager, a vital role working closely with the Category Manager.

Duties include:

  • Assisting with the Sales Order process
  • Monitoring distribution and fulfillment
  • Liaising with the procurement team and implementing new solutions
  • Ensuring stock is being monitored and understanding requirements
  • General Administrative Duties
  • Keeping up to date with market trends via social media and in house systems
  • Communicating with all departments whilst dealing with buyers and suppliers
  • Develop, plan and strengthen certain areas and aspects of the business
  • Assisting with presentations and compile data accurately
  • Loggings detailed events and meetings within the market

The successful candidate:

  • Computer literacy - all Microsoft applications
  • Attention to detail - all duties must be carried out with a very high level of accuracy sometimes in a pressured environment
  • Decision making - candidate must be able to make decisions confidently whilst understand the consequences of all actions
  • Experience in Price negotiation / dealing with buyers and suppliers
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills
