Currently recruiting for an Electrical and Mechanical Surveyor to assist with the preparation and delivery of planned and programmed installation and maintenance contracts, ensuring that compliance, efficiency and high standards are maintained.

As an Electrical and Mechanical Surveyor, you will be carrying out provisional surveys and investigation to assist with identification and prioritisation of work programmes. You will be undertaking site supervision and monitoring the work in progress whilst liaising with contractors and tenants for the effective delivery of works.

Further responsibilities for the role will be -

  • Carrying out surveys and compiling information to assist with the preparation of specifications and other contract documents, including measured surveys.

  • Monitor contractor/contract performance to ensure programmes are adhered to and targets are met.

  • Reviewing Electrical Certification in conjunction with validation of contractors claims for payment.

  • Undertaking site inspection of works in progress, giving advice and assistance to residents enduring a degree of tenant satisfaction with the service provided.

  • Maintaining accurate records of all site visits, site instructions given, inspections and handovers and relevant observations regarding health and safety, monitoring compliance with regulations and specifications etc.

  • Assist with the co-ordination of responsive repair requests in relation to communal services and undertake inspections if necessary, assessing whether repairs are required, specifying and ordering works through relevant contractors.

  • To produce progress reports when requested.

  • To maintain an awareness and knowledge of changed in regulations or legislation that may affect schemes of work.

It is vital for this role that candidates looking to apply, withhold the following qualifications:

  • City and Guilds 2382

  • City and Guilds 2391/2392

For this role, you will need to be computer literate with knowledge in Microsoft packages, you will also need to drive and have your own vehicle. Salary for this role is up to £30,000 per annum dependent on skills and experience. Millage allowance is provided as you will be using vehicle to visit sites. Typical working day will start at the head office in Burton on Trent and you will do a 37-hour working week Monday - Friday.
