My client within the Leisure and Hospitality sector, are currently recruiting for an Assistant Accountant with Payroll experience to join their friendly team in the Kendal area. 

The successful candidate's roles and responsibilities will include the following:

-The production and analysis of financial reports 
- Analysis of monthly accounts Vs the budget/ forecast 
- The production of monthly income and expenditure cash flows and actual to budget reports for each cost centre 
- Input and authorisation of supplier payments 
- Fuel duty submission to HMRC
- Assisting the Payroll Clerk in processing the monthly payroll on Sage 
- Submission of the pension information to the pension provider in line with government legislation 
- All payroll admin - SSP, SMP, SPP
- Assist with HR issues and manage the company training records 

The ideal candidate will:

- Have experience with assisting/ producing management accounts 
- Have strong excel skills and be able to produce V Look-ups and Pivot Tables 
- Be friendly, self motivated and have the ability to use their own initiative
