Business Development Manager

Our client, a leading prestige dealership within the Automotive Industry, are seeking an experienced and motivated Local Business Development Manager (LBDM) to join their team based in the South East London area.

Role responsibilities - sales & marketing

  • To contact prospects with a structured approach
  • To promote corporate marketing campaigns every quarter using local and national materials
  • To promote vehicles to business customers
  • To create and maintain a current prospective & existing customer database
  • To negotiate and obtain customer commitment within New Car Sales guidelines
  • To produce weekly management information and reports
  • To give existing customers one relationship management call each quarter to identify further opportunities
  • To follow up renewals six months in advance
  • To respond to customer enquiries within 24 hours and escalate where necessary
  • To ensure vehicles are prepared to the highest standard and deliver on the agreed date & time

Who you need to be

  • You must have excellent communication skills to communicate credibly with our customers, colleagues and senior management
  • You must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment recognising individual responsibility to contribute to the performance and success of the team. You will have an understanding of the needs of others and a willingness to go the extra mile
  • You will have the ability to keep up-to-date with complex information, proven selling skills and good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • You will be good with administration, diary management and following up within agreed time frames
  • You will be able to develop rapport and trust with customers and to resolve conflict situations calmly and reasonably
  • You will have a passion for customer service, have a process orientated approach and be professional and well presented.

Your experience

  • You will have proven experience in selling, financing, invoicing, managing accounts, staff management and administrative duties
  • You will have proven leadership, managerial and people development skill.
