A rare opportunity has arisen for a Family Solicitor to join our client, an established Sheffield law firm in their city centre office. This role is rewarded with a competitive salary and excellent staff benefits, dependent on the candidate's experience.
About the role
The department's reputation is recognised by the Legal 500, with development set to continue as the team sees an ongoing increase in work. Typical matters that the Family Solicitor will deal with include divorce, financial provision, pre and post-nuptial agreements and separation agreements for predominantly high net worth individuals. The successful candidate will be required to undertake their own advocacy in the Magistrates and County Courts therefore experience of advocacy or a keen interest in improving this skill will be essential for this role.
About the person
The Family Solicitor must be a UK qualified solicitor with a minimum of 2 years' experience in practicing Family Law, however, this does not preclude candidates with more experience from applying for this role. The successful applicant will have a strong academic background along with good communication and technical skills, to be able to work autonomously and a demonstrable ability to deal with sensitive matters in a professional manner.
Due to the wide-ranging nature of the department's work, the Family Solicitor will be required to have all-round family experience and the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships. Effective management of more junior lawyers and confidence to play a lead role in matters will be essential.
About the organisation
