Baby Room Leader
A permanent Baby Room Leader job in Westbury-On-Tryme, Bristol in Ofsted 'Outstanding' Nursery.
Your new company
You will be working in a nursery that cares for children 0-5 years old. The nursery is a purpose built setting due to outgrowing their previous setting and has been provided high quality childcare for over 30 years. The nursery has achieved Ofsted 'Outstanding' the past two inspections which is a great achievement for the setting and set their goal to continue this. The nursery has three rooms to ensure children are provided with age appropriate activities and resources; The baby room situated upstairs along with a dedicated outside classroom, a toddler room and dedicated outside classroom and a pre-school room with a dedicated outside classroom plus all the age groups have access to large amounts of outdoor space to enjoy. The nursery has two forest school room leaders meaning that all 3-5 year olds can be involved in the forest school set up.
Your new role
In your role as Room Lead you will be responsible for leading a team of practitioners in the under 2s room and you will be part of the management team in leading and guiding the practice within the room as well as the whole setting. You will also be a key person within the baby room so will additionally need to take on the full responsibilities such as need to complete learning diaries, plan activities and meet and greet parents.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have a full and relevant Level 3 qualification or above in Early Years and have experience working with the babies for a minimum of 2 years. You will need to be able to lead others and take responsibility for planning, evaluating and delivering the EYFS curriculum for the room. To be successful within this position you will need to have a nurturing and caring approach to ensure children settle well in the setting and enjoy their time at the nursery.
What you'll get in return
If you are appointed for this position you will be offered a salary based on your experienced between £18,000-£21,000. You will be working 40 hours a week across 5 days a week all year round. You will receive the support you require to settle into this nurseries routine through a mixture of on the job training and classroom based.
