A fantastic opportunity for a hungry, self-starting Business Development Manager / Hunter looking to progress in their career and be part of an exciting period of growth within a market leading company. My clients are looking for a successful Business Development Manager / Hunter to join their growing sales team and be an integral part of their new Enterprise venture by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. They are specialists in providing software solutions, and would ideally like someone who has sold into the public sector before.

The role will be, by nature, varied, but also include:

  • Achieving agreed sales targets
  • Ensuring you have an in-depth understanding of the financial status of your portfolio including individual value, billing and maintenance renewal dates as well as customer budgets
  • Actively seeking to increase the services offered to your portfolio and increase the income generated in conjunction with the cross-sell and up-sell opportunities
  • Maintaining accurate account plans for each client and prospect
  • Carrying out regular marketing and lead generation activity
  • Building a pipeline of sustainable long term business
  • Dealing with all aspects of sales campaigns
  • Establishing, maintaining and expanding strong client relationships through regular close contact with clients and prospects. This will include regular face to face meetings, telephone and email communication
  • Delivering sales presentations to ’C’-level executives
  • Building a network of partner activity to generate additional revenue
  • Recommending and justifying new partners when appropriate
  • Ensuring necessary actions are undertaken by the product development delivery and services teams
  • Completing administrative work, as required
  • Ensure you manage expectations of all stakeholders by communicating through meetings, verbal, written and email
  • Responding to requests from colleagues in an efficient and timely manner
