Due to an upcoming maternity leave our client school wish to appoint a driven and energetic Science teacher ahead of the new academic year.

'A member of our Science department is due to go on maternity leave ahead of September. We wish to appoint a Science teacher (Biology, Chemistry and Physics specialists all considered) who can easily slot into our vibrant team following the summer break. We have an excellent team of staff who are dedicated to providing the highest standards of teaching to our pupils. Our department consistently achieve results above the national average in recent years’ - Head of Science.

The school is an 11-16 mixed comprehensive secondary school situated within the Bolton LEA close to Westhoughton region. The school is average is size with around 1000 pupils on roll and is oversubscribed due to its excellent reputation. The vast majority of children are of white British heritage and the number of pupils with learning difficulties or a statement for special needs is below the national average. Located on the outskirts of Bolton, the School is easily accessible as it is only a short drive from the M61 and has direct transport links to the surrounding areas; Bury, Wigan, Chorley, Salford and Wigan.

Within this new and exciting role, the successful applicant will be required to take on full responsibility of a timetable made up of both KS3 and GCSE classes ranging in ability. You will be required to plan and delivering engaging lessons, whereby you will have full access to excellent facilities and resources within this modern school.
