Calling all Support Workers in the Norfolk area!
Mencap are looking for 5 talented Relief Support Workers who are looking for an exciting new role within the Social Care sector.
If you are passionate about your community and the welfare of local people, this role would be ideal for you. We are looking for people who are caring, flexible and committed to providing outstanding care and support for vulnerable young people and adults.
The role will involve, administering medications, helping them to manage their money, providing personal support, along with day trips out to the Cinema, shopping trips and supporting people with their hobbies, such as, gardening and baking ect…
The people you will support
The people that you will support will have a range of needs, such as, Autism, Epilepsy, Downs Syndrome and other needs. We want Support Workers who are patient, understanding and will take the time to get to know each individual that they support.
The general shift patterns include but not limited to 7am - 3pm, 2pm - 10pm and sleep in shifts that have an Extra allowance attached. Please note these shift patterns may differ slightly throughout the services, nevertheless this would always be communicated in a timely manner. We require people who can work a minimum of any two days throughout the week for a shift of up to 7 hours, however if you are fully flexible that would be a great advantage.
Experience is desirable, however, a "CAN DO" attitude and a genuine desire to support people with a disability will also be taken in to consideration as full training is provided.
