Qualified Humanities Teacher needed for September 2017.
September 2017 start, permanent Humanities Teaching job, full time, Northamptonshire, KS3 and 4, paid to MPS/UPS scale. Hays Education are very proud to be working on behalf of a Daventry secondary school to recruit for a permanent Humanities Teacher to start in September 2017. This is a full time teaching role across KS3 and KS4.
Your new school
This Academy situated in Daventry currently has a total of 627 pupils. The school building is outstanding, as are the facilities available to both pupils and staff. They have outstanding teachers and offer a friendly Humanities Department. At the Academy, they stress the importance of respect, whether for oneself, other pupils, staff, the learning process or the environment. They want their pupils to leave as responsible, caring and considerate young adults and believe in high aspirations for all. They find this will happen with consistency.
Your new role
In your new secondary teaching job you will be expected to plan interesting and challenging Humanities lessons that will engage pupils and you will have the natural ability to deliver them with confidence and enthusiasm. You will need to be experienced teaching up to KS4 and be familiar with the current curriculum for History, Geography and RE. Experience in a Secondary school is essential. Due to the nature of the role it is offered as a 'paid to scale' post (MPS/UPS). All introductions will be made via Hays Education and visits to the school are encouraged. On successful appointment you will be offered a permanent contract.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in your new teaching job you will have completed your studies and hold UK QTS. You will be an experienced Humanities Teacher that is passionate about student progress and is committed to helping pupils to achieve their academic potential. The ideal candidate would have been in a long term or permanent teaching role and will be able to supply Hays with outstanding references from the previous employer. NQT's are welcome to apply.
