Purchase Ledger Clerk
Brewster Pratap are recruiting an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk for a well established Barnsley based organisation. Close to the motorway they are are commutable from Wakefield, Rotherham and Sheffield.
The main purpose of the role is to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Purchase Ledger. Reporting to the Management Accountant duties will include:
Checking invoices against purchase orders and GRN's
Batching, coding and inputting invoices onto the system
Ensuring all invoices are authorised for payment
Dealing with all queries
Liaising with internal staff and suppliers to resolve issues
Weekly payment runs using BAC's
Updating and maintaining supplier accounts
Other ad hoc duties as required
Previous Purchase Ledger experience is essential
Experience of sub contractors would be an advantage
The successful candidate will be proactive and able to work using their own initiative
You will me a team player
Good communication skills are essential
