Full Time

Do you feel undervalued? Are you frustrated that you're not able to make a difference? Are you desperate to take on a bigger challenge? Then this opening for a Payroll Manager could be for you.

You will lead this forward-thinking payroll bureau, managing and developing a team of 2 staff. As a team, you will manage around 200 individual company payrolls, ranging from one-man service companies up to 350+ staff, so every day will bring a new challenge. You'll be working for a respected and thriving firm of Chartered Accountants who really know how to look after their staff - they even shared the annual saving on office printing and stationery between all their staff to say thank you, and in addition to their Christmas party and summer trip to the races, it's not unusual for the Partners to treat the whole office to bacon sandwiches, Easter Eggs and the odd ice cream! You'll work as part of a great team and that will be important to you.

As well as having responsibility for all the usual payroll tasks for weekly, fortnightly, four-weekly and monthly client payrolls and providing an end-to-end payroll service, you will look to bring your organisational skills to drive improvements in the department. You'll really have the bit between your teeth and will want to make this role your own, and you'll be supported by the Partners to achieve your goals.

If you're an experienced payroll professional, who feels they can make the change from an in-house role to the demands of running multiple payrolls, or you're already working in a payroll bureau and you're seeking the chance to take overall control, you could be ideal for this role.
