There is a new opportunity for an aspiring Financial Controller to join a luxury retailer based in central London.

Client Details

My client is a £25m T/O luxury retailer, based in central London, but with market presence across the EMEA region. Their delivery of quality, high-end product ensures a focus on the customer experience and end-to-end manufacturing and distribution services. Based within London there is a new opportunity for a Financial Controller to join the business.


As the Financial Controller is this luxury retailer you will be tasked with the day-to-day management of the finance function, management of two accounts assistants, supporting the sales team with forecasting and performance reporting. You will also be required to pick up some HR duties across the UK company. Your key responsibilities will include:

-Ownership of the monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting process;

-Leading the budgeting and forecasting process through interaction with key stakeholders;

-Oversight and co-ordination of credit control, transactional finance, and payroll;

-Supporting the sales team with performance reporting, increasing profitability, and forecasting;

-Take a key role in cash management for the company, liaising directly with the Group CFO;

-Management of a team of 2, and leading on HR across the UK business;

-Ad hoc reporting and analysis as required.


The successful applicant for the Financial Controller role will:

-Be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA);

-Demonstrate a clear ability to manage the reporting cycles in an SME environment (ideally retail);

-Possess strong business partnering skills, ideally with sales teams;

-Show the capability to manage effectively and develop a team;

-Previous exposure to HR/Operations management is advantageous.

Job Offer

The offer to the successful candidate will be between £60,000-£70,000 depending on experience plus benefits.
