This stunning hotel is located in a beautiful area in South Yorkshire- This would ideally suit someone who has reached the point in their career where quality of life is important - if you want to get out of the city and get some fresh air, see greenery and beautiful scenery as opposed to grey and concrete, then this job may be for you.

My Clients would like to recruit an existing Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef who has a great background cooking rosette standard food, has strong kitchen management skills, can develop a team of chefs & show they can produce fantastic food under pressure. - In any type of environment, from a la carte fine dining to banqueting and brasserie / bistro.

You will be in charge of a very stable and capable brigade of Chefs serving the rosette awarded restaurant, & also oversee the food operation for the weddings and conferences for which the site also does a good level of business. You will be able to maintain the Rosettes the site currently holds, while pleasing and astonishing guests at the same time. The owners and managers here make it a point to look after their teams really well and as such they have a very low employee turnover - Which is possibly the highest accolade a business can have in reality.

Additionally, all the kitchen equipment here is very well-maintained. This is not your typical, independent operation with tight-fisted operators. Although you will obviously be expected to deliver some profit, GP results are not the be-all-end-all here. The goal is more about providing an excellent experience for everyone who visits.

All produce is locally-sourced, and you really do have some of the best available right on your doorstep. Although the owners take a huge amount of pride in their business and always have done, they are true believer in allowing the talent of the team to shine through. They will be clear in the job remit, and allow you to deliver an excellent experience for their customers in YOUR way.

You will have access to any supplier you wish to use and will have no constraints in this regard. You will DEFINITELY have the freshest produce of any hospitality operation in the area!

For those candidates not familiar with the area, South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire offer some of the best standards of living in the country, with extremely inexpensive rental and to-buy property prices in lovely areas. The client can, however, offer live in accommodation in a luxury standard apartment either permanently or short-term.

The area boasts some of the most stunning scenery in the UK and you're within very easy reach of London (2 hours) and Manchester (45minutes). You're also on the edge of the Peak District National Park without being too far from excellent transport links and major cities and hubs. The site is very central in the UK.

The salary here is in the region of UP TO £32,000 with a bonus structure to suit. As mentioned, we are looking for EITHER a Senior Sous Chef OR a Head Chef, as you will report into an Executive Head Chef who is very consultative and believes in allowing their number 2 to have full autonomy.

There is also a LOT of room for progression, as the site is expanding and the owners are currently looking to take on a number of other sites - As such, your remit (and salary) will stand a very good chance of growing.
