Our client is a Tier 1 bank based in Manchester. They're looking for a VP senior technical team lead to manage a number of app support staff on and offshore. This role is ideal for someone who has moved away from a hands on technical position and is looking for more of a managerial position.

Role purpose

you'll be providing live support and leadership for the high profile applications making up the Customer, Risk and RPS, PBE Level 2 team. Managing teams responsible for resolving incident and problem management, investigating and owning issues in order to meet the Banks SLA for incident management on some of the banks most critical Mainframe services 24 x 7 x

Some of Key Accountabilities

  • Line management for senior members of staff, within a team around 40 staff
  • Stakeholder Management to Senior stakeholders including participation in service reviews
  • Provide Guidance, Mentoring and Direction to fellow Technical Team Leads
  • Owning and driving governance around both the incident management and problem process, including actions from major problem reviews/high severity incidents, attending MPRs and giving value add to both the process and the outcome
  • Gain a deep understanding of the services within the portfolio from both a technical and business perspective
  • Performance management for permanent members of staff
  • Own and Drive data for Capacity/Performance Management

Your skills and Qualifications

  • Proven technical team lead
  • Senior stakeholder management
  • Proven incident management experience
  • Evidence of leading and managing teams, in a multi-site environment
  • ITIL trained
  • Experience in M/F technologies (Cobol, DB2, IMS)
