Your new role
The Governance & Co Sec Department is responsible for delivering a high quality corporate governance and company secretariat service for the organisation's UK group companies and its clients. Working under the guidance of the Head of Governance & Co Sec, the Assistant Company Secretary will primarily act as Secretary to a portfolio of clients. Activities will include preparing board and committee meeting packs, providing meeting support, producing timely and accurate minutes of these meeting and advising the client manager and client board chair on effective board management, along with the general core duties of an Assistant Co Sec role.
What you'll need to succeed
Ideally you will have around 1 - 2 years of company secretarial experience. It would be very beneficial if you had minute writing experience however this isn't essential as long as you are a keen and quick learner and are prepared to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in. You must be able to meet deadlines and balance multiple tasks and you must also be confident in dealing with senior people.
