Chef-de-partie required for an Award-winning Prestigious 4 star venue!

Based in the heart of the beautiful Hertfordshire countryside.. Near Hatfield

Must have rosette standard experience ideally within a 4/5 star hotel environment

£23,000 + Fantastic Career Prospects, working within a stunning environment
Contracted 45 hours over 7 days. For the successful candidate accommodation maybe available!

My client is a hugely successful 4 star hotel and wedding venue with amazing conference & banqueting facilities.

Due to their continued success and growth my client are now recruiting for an experienced
Chef-de-partie to work within an amazing team!

Purpose of the role
The Chef-de-partie’s primary objective will be to oversee the running of a section of the kitchen, including food preparation and presentation of all menus. The Chef-de-partie will also be responsible for overseeing the demi and commis chefs.

To be successful within this role, you will need to have previous experience in a rosette accredited establishment ideally within a quality hotel. Attention to detail is essential with a focus on consistent quality of product and presentation.

Essential Qualifications

- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
- Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate
- Health and Safety in the workplace certificate
- At least 3 years experience in a quality establishment

Key Responsibilities

- Shares skills and knowledge with staff under his/ her control to establish basic skills and knowledge and develop them according to individual and section needs.
- Support Head Chef and Sous Chef with Menu development and planning
- Preparing cooking and presenting dishes within your speciality
- Follow all Safety and Hygiene regulations as instructed by the kitchen.
- Complete all administrative tasks required

Person Specification

- Must have previous experience working as a Chef-de-partie Ideally within a Rosette accredited establishment within a 4/5 star hotel property
- Experience of motivating and managing your section
- Strong knowledge of Safety & Hygiene procedures within the kitchen
- Accommodation may be available with this role
- Accommodation may be available, if not your own transport would be essential due to the location.
