My client, a leading iconic Venue, specialising in Events and Exhibitions based in South West London.

This role is for a methodical, organised Events Catering Co-Ordinator to work directly for the Catering Manager at a superb venue. The nature of the role does require someone who has an eye for detail, and has superb organisational skills to ensure all the inhouse catering arrangements are signed off and contracts are accurate.

Purpose of the role
The Event Catering Coordinator will support the Catering Manager in the management of catering contractors to deliver a high quality catering experience. They will also administer the catering contracts to ensure that excellent service is delivered on all events and to all customers.

Event Catering Coordinator Requirements

- Experience in catering and service industry
- Knowledge and experience of the event industry
- Good current knowledge and understanding of related legislation and regulations
- Level 2 Health & Safety or awareness of IOSH Managing Safety level desirable but not essential
- Level 2 food safety desirable but not essential

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and organising skills with emphasis on providing a high standard of service accurately and timely. They will thrive working under pressure and must be computer literate. You will also demonstrate confidence when making financial judgements.

Event Catering Coordinator Responsibilities
• Coordinate all relevant contracts and suppliers, in conjunction where required, with other members of the venue management team
• Ensure the Catering Strategy is implemented on all events
• Build and develop excellent working relationships with all Catering Partners and actively oversee the management of the Catering Partners to ensure a quality and flexible offer is provided for all events
• Support the Event Managers to ensure that performance levels of all Catering Partners are maintained
• Ensure effective working practices are in place in order to deliver excellent customer service in a cost conscious manner.
• Monitor and review performance levels of all Catering Partners on a monthly basis
• Produce show catering revenue reports for every event and distribute to appropriate parties
• Provide catering budget updates to the Catering Manager / Assistant Director - Operations and respond to any queries and provide detailed explanation to any variances
• Record and control the liaison with all regulatory bodies and assist consultants to carry audits as required
• Constantly review systems and procedures to ensure that the Catering at the venue remains in line with the Catering Strategy and customer satisfaction.
• Act as Duty Manager and take control of any situations or incidents in the venue when applicable – this may be overnight
• Gather business and industry intelligence by visiting other venues and events and identify ways of improving and increasing our offer to customers and compiling benchmarking data
