Reed Education Essex are currently working with a great school on an exciting new role in the Southend area.

Starting from September 2017 the school are looking for an outstanding English teacher to join them on a permanent basis.

The School:
• The school has been judged as an “outstanding” school by OFSTED in its last two inspections. With the addition of the Sixth Form of 300, the school will grow to 1500 students overall. OFSTED 2013 confirmed that this is a school where “parents and staff rightly speak very highly of the school”.
• The schools mission statement can be summarised into:
- Helping students to develop lively, enquiring minds, encouraging the ability to question and argue rationally and confronting them with challenging mental and physical tasks in order to ensure the highest possible level of achievement.
- Instilling respect for each other, for religious and moral values and tolerance of other races, religions and ways of life.
- Helping students to acquire knowledge, skills and attitudes relevant to adult life in a rapidly changing world.
• The school’s most recent GCSE results have come in at 77% A*- C inc. English and Maths. This was their best ever!

The Role:

• The successful candidate will need to teach English at KS3 – KS5. This vacancy is suitable for an NQT or a more experienced teacher.
• The school offer an excellent induction programme within a friendly and supportive environment and are committed to high quality professional development and continuous improvement in teaching and learning.

What you will need:

• You will have QTS and some experience teaching within a secondary school.
• You will be a creative teacher and a good leader to the students.
• You will be a committed teacher to help guide the students through to their GCSE stages.
