Technical Claims Handler
We are working with a reputable Insurer in the Halifax area who have an opportunity for a Technical Claims Handler to join their successful property team.
You will be responsible for providing customers with a quality service by guiding them through the claims registration process through to settlement of the claim. This will be successfully completed to a timely and efficient manner both meeting and exceeding the expectations of the customer. You will be working with a dedicated team with a common goal of delivering superior customer service to policy holders.
Ideally you will have exceptional customer service and communication skill with a proven track record in handling Property claims. This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to develop a career with an award-winning Insurer.
Manage a caseload of Property Claims up to your authority limit from claim inception through to settlement, in line with company guidelines
Give a clear explanation to the customer of the claims process and inform them what is to happen next and by when.
Provide support and advice to customers specifically relating to their claim and act in calm, methodical and professional manner.
Pro-actively manage the claim, suppliers and customers by using an effective diary system to ensure claims are settled promptly and in accordance with policy cover.
Pro-actively identify possible fraud cases.
It is essential that you have a minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent, including Maths and English.
Process towards CII exams are advantageous.
Previous experience within a property claims environment would be highly beneficial.
