Adecco Recruitment Currently has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Health and Safety advisor

Our client is a dedicated contractor to the design, construction and commissioning of medium voltage and high voltage installations up to and including 400kV, delivering customised turnkey installations to utilities, independent power producers and industrial clients. As part of our ongoing expansion and diversification we invite applications from suitably qualified individuals to join our team the UK on a six month fixed term contract.

Role and Responsibilities

*HSE Advisor will either be based on site/or working with the project team
*Coordinate all HSE Matters with the HSE Manager
*To report constructively all HSE matters.
*Coordinate HSE on site and projects.
*Implement Obelisk HSE management system and maintain on all projects
*Provide support to the project managers, supervisors, foremen and workers.
*Prepare HSE on site folders
*Prepare Site Specific Environmental Plan, H&S Plans, risk assessments
*Carry out site audits and incident investigations.
*Prepare monthly KPI's and present to HSE Manager.
*Prepare and carry out site specific safety inductions
*Review subcontractor safety documentation and compliance.

Qualifications & Experience

*3-5 Years' Experience
*Minimum NEBOSH Construction/ Diploma / NQF level 6 /
*Bachelors Degree in Occupational/ Environmental H&S (level 7)
*Understanding of Legislation,ISO standards CSCS/ Utilities CSCS /CCNSG / CSR
*Knowledge of Isolations and Testing.
*National Grid/SPEN Authorization for person substation competency
*Full clean UK Driving License
*Ability to work with client / main contractor Safety and Project teams.
*Proactive in identifying positive and negative acts
*Compile and review Method Statement / Risk Assessments
*Up to date with Legislation, Guidance, Advice and Compliance.
*IT Proficient - Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and E-Mail
*IOSH Membership

Knowledge of Training requirements

*First Aider
*Fire Risk Assessment and Fire Safety Management
*Windfarm Experience
*Desirable
*Construction Experience
*Train the Trainer - ability to prepare training programs
*Internal Auditor
*Good Knowledge of LOLER Regulations
*Behavioural Safety Training
