Get on your dancing shoes and be prepared to sing the Thomas the Tank Engine theme song because we`re looking for YOU to join us in Corby as a support worker on a 1 to 1 basis with the person we support.

One of the most amazing things about being a Support Worker is that anyone can do it! The only thing we ask from you is that you say yes to the below questions;

  • Are you eager, enthusiastic and passionate?
  • Do you want to do a job where you can go home knowing that you have made a difference to someone`s day?
  • From your next job opportunity do you want award winning training, career progression and exceptional company benefits?

The person we support is an affectionate and fun loving lady and she is looking for a female support worker to provide support with day to day life and creating memories.

Day to day support varies greatly. The support that you will be involved in would be things such as shopping, cooking, eating and drinking, laundry, personal care, cleaning, finances, medication administration. Helping create memories is partly why being a support worker is so rewarding, because you are making an ordinary day an extraordinary day! An extraordinary day for this lady would definitely involve dancing at the disco, going on a train or even watching an animated film.

The lady we support has a created one page profiles for you to read (see additional information) so you can get an idea about how best to support her

Support workers must be flexible in the hours they can work, as support can be required 24 hours a day. You will work on a rota basis throughout the week, weekends and bank holidays with sleep-ins as well.

So Chooooooo choose to take that next step in your career with Mencap and apply today!!

An enhanced DBS will be required for each successful candidate (Paid for by Mencap, T&Cs apply)
