Business Development Manager
Our client are a direct marketing agency based in the heart of Altrincham. Due to continued success they are currently recruiting an experienced Business Development Manager to expand their sales team.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful, forward thinking and fast growing organisation with fantastic earning potential (current members of the team are earning £90k OTE). The company act as a data broker. Working with a panel of 20 providers they provide the best data available to their clients at the price that suits them and their business needs. The role will include building fantastic relationships with both the end clients and also the 20 providers in order to ensure the best solution for the client.
It will be your role to help drive new business activity and get results for the business and their clients. The Business Development Manager will focus on acquiring new clients, retention of existing accounts, development of prospects and projects and identification of new leads for the business. With plenty of support around you, you will eventually be autonomous and enjoying the uncapped earning potential.
Although you will be provided with warm leads due to the success of the company in the marketplace; we are also looking for a Business Developer who has the ability and skills to generate and close their own business both over the telephone and face to face.
Although experience in the data/direct marketing industry is not a must any applicant must be able to take in, learn and communicate technical information back to clients. Therefore, it would be an advantage if you came from a technical background such as IT, Software, Finance where you are used to a detail orientated sales role.
In return you will receive a competitive basic salary of up to £27k with realistic earnings of £50k+ by the end of year 2. Current members of the team who have been with the business for more than two years are currently earning £90k+
You will need to be imaginative and creative, always on the look out for new ideas, new ways to communicate with clients and prospect, new puzzles to solve. What is the best way to handle opening doors and having a qualified conversation with marketing decision makers? Not only will you need to find new business but we need exceptional customer service skills to ensure they are well looked after. Client service is very important in this role.
We are looking for people with a passion for business and marketing and an excellent communicator with a creative side and the drive to build a successful network of contacts. Social Media, high computer literacy and numeracy are vital. Own car important for client meetings.
This role would ideally suit a candidate with an absolute minimum experience of 2 years marketing or non call centre business development experience. A graduate background is advantageous but not essential.
The office is in the centre of Altrincham, two minutes away from the Station and Metrolink. Would suit a commute from Wilmslow, Sale, Manchester, Knutsford, Stockport, Warrington.
