A library based in Suffolk is seeking a Stock Librarian to join their busy library service.

In this Stock Librarian job you will be responsible for the stock selection, acquisition and management of the Children’s and Young People’s book stock and digital content across both fiction and non-fiction. You will be working closely with other libraries, suppliers and customers to ensure that the library service has the widest selection of titles relevant to the customer needs. You will be responsible for managing the library budget and ensuring that you get the best value for money with acquisitions. You will work closely with colleagues at the library and marketing to promote the library stock and content both online and physically.

To be suitable for this position you will be a qualified librarian (or equivalent experience) who has experience of working within stock development and acquisitions. You will also have excellent interpersonal skills to develop relationships with customers, colleagues and suppliers. Experience of digital technologies and resources is essential.


This is a great opportunity to work as part of a supportive team who take pride in the stock selection that they can offer people. This is a full time, permanent job paying £24,000-£28,000 per annum.
