Senior Manager Executive & President Offices
Be at the centre of the Academy that’s central to global engineering
Engineering is at the heart of our nation and our future: transforming ideas and materials into global infrastructure, products and services that increase the wealth and health of our economy and society. As the UK’s national academy for engineering, we bring together the discipline’s finest minds to promote excellence and champion innovation.
In this pivotal position, you will manage and co-ordinate the offices of the Academy President, Chief Executive and Deputy Chief Executive Officer whilst providing secretariat support to the Trustee Board, Finance Committee, and Audit and Risk Committee. In short, you will be central to everything we do as you organise meetings and travel, liaise with senior officials in government and industry, manage electronic and paper correspondence, deal with wide-ranging enquiries from influential stakeholders and prepare briefings on key issues.
As a highly experienced and confident secretarial manager, you will bring outstanding secretarial and administrative skills, proven ability to manage both teams and projects, and a self-motivated approach to everything you do. Ideally you will be of graduate calibre and formally certified in project management, but more importantly you will possess exceptional IT literacy, the confidence to take clear and considered decisions, and a flexible approach to both hours and responsibilities. In return, we can offer you an unrivalled level of autonomy and visibility, plus involvement in some of our most exciting activities.
