The client is a large, family run Retail Organisation based in Kingston upon Hull who are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join the finance team. This is a key hire for this finance function and this role has exciting responsibilities. The role is suitable for someone who is currently assisting/producing management accounts or someone who is studying a professional qualification and looking to progress.

Description

As a Assistant Accountant you will be reporting into the Finance Manager, your duties will include, however are not limited to: Preparation of monthly Management Accounts, Provide accounting and analysis to the management team,Assist the management team in production of annual budgets & monthly re-forecasts, Provide support to commercial sales team, Responsible for preparation of audit files and analysis for statutory accounts production, Support the Commercial Accounts Manager and Management team on projects as required, Advise of any perceived risks to the company's financial performance on a timely basis, Delivery of specific KPIs - e.g. timely production of management information, meeting set deadlines for closing ledgers at month end.

Profile

The successful candidate will:

  • Be studying towards an accounting qualification
  • Have produced a full set of management accounts
  • Have strong excel skills
  • Be able to present to senior members of the business

Job Offer
