Our client are an award winning 40 strong modern CRM agency based near Waterloo.


The Head of Campaign Management and Insight is an important job will be working across a variety of clients. This role requires senior client liaison delivering consultancy and thought leadership in campaign management. It will be responsible for the design, build and delivery of multi-channel direct marketing activity on time and to brief using a variety of Campaign Management software across the team.

It is a great opportunity for a campaign management expert who is looking to build a centre of excellence in a dynamic and fast growing modern CRM agency.

As such, our client is looking for someone with a technical and curious mind-set who is data literate and proficient in Exact Target / Salesforce Marketing Cloud (or similar Campaign Management and Marketing Automation tools) and ideally has exposure to Google Analytics.

You will need to be data literate, have good understanding of databases and be passionate about the application of data and insight to drive marketing campaigns.


  • Upfront requirements gathering of all client campaign work
  • Successful interpretation of campaign briefs received from the client, identifying any areas of the brief that require further clarification and/or approval
  • Ensure job output meets the requirements of the brief
  • Ensure benchmarks for delivery are agreed with the client before any production work commences
  • Ensure all campaign activity is continuously measured and optimised

Campaign and Insight Management

  • Translation of client requirements into campaign design, build and execution using Salesforce Marketing Cloud and other software
  • Communicate pre-campaign counts and advise where appropriate
  • Ensure all campaigns are completed accurately and within the agreed timeframe
  • Ensure Quality Assurance procedures are adhered to and demonstrated to the client on a campaign by campaign basis
  • Possess ability to manipulate, manage and analyse data
  • Deliver data to the client upon completion of a campaign, ensuring all data is handled securely and in accordance with the client’s security procedures
  • Run and manage post-campaign reporting, working with the client to define the requirements for each campaign where necessary
  • Work with the client to introduce best practise methods for control measurement and test and learn approaches in CRM communications
  • Have a full working knowledge and understanding of campaign tools to provide technical advice where needed


  • Manage communications in respect of all client campaign work
  • Work alongside the other departments to plan the resource for the teams in order to provide service in line with the agreed client SLAs
  • Manage all client campaign queries, escalating to other departments when required


  • Gain knowledge of client terminology and ways of working
  • Investigate problems and advise options when queries arise, liaising with other departments or staff when required
  • Adopt and encourage an open-minded approach to new projects, considering companywide implications as well as departmental
  • Provide technical advice to other departments as and when required
  • Identify and suggest ways of continually improving the process of running campaigns
  • Ensure that the client is kept up to date with the progress of all campaigns, making them aware of any issues that may affect delivery
  • Attend internal or external client meetings when required
  • Handle all data securely and responsibly, observing The Data Protection Act and our information security policy

Skills & Experience


  • Relevant direct marketing industry experience
  • Proven track record of designing, building and deploying campaigns based on customer & data driven insight
  • Excellent technical campaign management skills, ideally with experience in using any of the following: Exact Target / Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adestra, Silverpop
  • Excellent project management skills as demonstrated via successful end-to-end management of campaign build and deployment
  • Experience of campaign reporting and analysis
  • Ability to translate campaign performance into actionable insight relevant to marketing objectives
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience in dealing with clients and key stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience in collaborating with other agencies to deliver campaigns


  • Experience in using:

- Google Analytics

- Double-Click

- Google Tag Manager

  • Data Manipulation languages, e.g. SQL
  • Exposure and / or experience of analytics tools an advantage (SPSS, SAS, R, etc)
