Business Development Manager - Digital Marketing

Business Development Manager with a strong passion and understanding of the digital marketing marketplace is needed by our client, one of the UK's best independent digital agencies based in London. They are a fast growing and dynamic digital marketing agency run by an experienced management team, who have a passion for all things digital. Already well-established, working with the likes of Mercedes-Benz, smart, Dewalt and Massey Ferguson, they are looking to further expand their portfolio and develop a new, exciting positioning.

As a Business Development Manager you will be responsible for developing a database of prospects. Working with the management as well as a small sales and marketing team, you'll be tasked with growing new prospecting and generating leads.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Creating a detailed approach that is updated regularly and shared with Senior Leadership
  • Get out there - the ideal candidate is sociable and can represent the agency within the digital community (at industry events, seminars and meetups)
  • Management of a sales pipeline
  • Creating proposals for possible clients (with the help of a Planner, Creative Director)
  • Lead research on potential clients and face to face introductions
  • Develop case studies and other professionally created collateral

Key Skills / Experience:

  • Track record of success in business development and sales (not necessarily within a marketing agency environment)
  • A trustworthy, organized, well presented individual who can confidently present to senior client contacts
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships internally and externally. A team player that can bring the most out of people in the agency when specialist skills are needed.
  • A high level of numeracy and literacy with strong attention to detail
  • Confident and adaptable when meeting/calling potential clients. Can flex to the situation when talking to new prospects.

Salary and Benefits:

  • £25,000 - £35,000 pa
  • OTE £55,000 pa
  • Competitive benefits package
