Legal Secretary / Legal PA
I am delighted to be representing a market leading, regional law firm with offices across Lancashire and Cumbria, in their search for an experienced Legal Secretary / Legal PA.
This role requires a legal secretary experienced in dealing with large scale file and document management relating to high value and complex pieces of litigation. The role demands proactivity and strong organisational skills .The successful applicant will support the Commercial Litigation Department.
The core purpose of the role is to provide assistance to the Department¿s fee earners in relation to non-chargeable tasks, allowing fee earners to dedicate their time to chargeable client work.
Knowledge and experience of legal secretarial work is essential.
Experience of large scale file and document management within a commercial litigation environment
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to process and organise a high volume of electronic and hard form documents quickly and efficiently.
An understanding of the litigation process and a familiarity with court forms would be beneficial
Experience of working within a busy office with the ability to prioritise workload and operate independently where needed to ensure tasks are completed.
A minimum typing speed of 40 wpm.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with a reassuring telephone manner. Reliable, hardworking and able to follow fee earners¿ instructions. The candidate should be a safe pair of hands who is diligent and can be relied upon, particularly when fee earners are out of the office or engaged in client meetings and should be able to work to deadlines.
