Front of House and catering Manager required for a local tourist attraction

Full time permanent Hours: Average of 40 hours per week, including weekends & bank holidays

Our client are looking for an experienced Catering & Hospitality Manager to join their dedicated team.

You will be working very closely with the Head Chef to ensure the effective coordination of people and resources to deliver a first class catering experience.

You will be accountable for the smooth running of all of our catering outlets as well as the management of events, such as coach party bookings and corporate hire of the function rooms.

You will also play a key role in the setting and management of budgets, day-to-day cost control, stock management and the reduction of waste as well as managing a team of people and all that encompasses as we approach our peak season.

You need to have experience in a senior supervisory / junior management role in catering and must have a good knowledge and understanding of costing, stock management and EPOS systems, combined with good IT skills to manage bookings and event databases.

You also need to be able to demonstrate excellent team leadership skills to motivate and manage a large and diverse team in peak season.

Food hygiene qualifications are a must, as well as the flexibility to work at varied times, including early morning events, parties later in to the evening and weekends and bank holidays will be a regular feature of your working pattern.
