Contract Scotland are working in partnership with one of Scotland's leading and most established Building Services contractors whose excellent reputation is synonymous throughout the industry. Despite being a leading player in the Scottish and UK market this business is looking to increase their mechanical projects management capabilities both due to future secured work both also in conjunction with their current continued growth plans.

If you are from a Mechanical Project Management background within the Building Services sector and have an interest in being responsible for the day to day project and commercial management over multiple M&E installation projects, then this is a rare opportunity to become a part of one of Scotland's most well established M&E Building Services contractors based from their offices in the Edinburgh area which has a strong support team of estimating, procurement, business development and commercial staff. Joining an existing projects team, you'll be responsible for the full mechanical project management for medium to large sized commercial M&E Building Services projects ranging in value from £1mil-£8mil within various projects spheres such as public sector, commercial fit-out and refurb, schools and hotel developments.

We're looking for someone who can bring their technical expertise and commercial acumen to lead the Mechanical engineering function on key projects for the organisation. A key success factor to this role would be your ability to deliver high levels of client satisfaction both to direct end user and major main contractors whilst still ensuring a high quality of onsite installation, problem solving and commercial success. Ultimately, the key to this role is the ability to liaise and work with key stakeholders at all levels to ensure repeat business and develop existing relationships with major Main Contractors and end-user clients with a service delivery focused contractor. On top of this you will be expected to have strong man-management skills to ensure on-site trades and labour staff remain motivated and liaise closely with your on-site supervisory staff.

Perhaps you're currently working for an M&E Building Services Contractor in either a Mechanical Project Engineer or Mechanical Project Manager role and you are looking for a new challenge by leading the project management function for prestigious and key Building Services projects. At this stage, you'll need to be able to demonstrate extensive Mechanical project engineering and management experience in an M&E Building Services organisation. You should have a wide and well developed technical knowledge as well as a track record on delivering on a variety of projects with the assistance of a surveying and commercial team.
