Job description
Propel are currently working with a rapidly growing business that gives people the tools, resources and freedom to bring their ideas to life. They believe ideas need liberating and that books are the best medium for people to do this in. They are a team of writers, designers, publishers, and web developers working together in an old converted warehouse in central London. They now need a Social Media Manager to come on board!

Role Purpose

As a new hire for the business, you will be responsible for supporting the implementation of strategic social media initiatives to support the business. The primary focus will be to raise awareness of the brand and drive users to their site and specific projects on it. In more detail this will involve:

Developing schedules for daily postings. Creating postings and ensuring copy is accurate, on-brand and compelling.
Supporting and implementing live discussion events
Partners works, events and content.
Moderating Facebook discussion groups and other content
Utilizing social listening tools
Tailoring content and to specific platforms and audience groups
Identifying new opportunities to reach target audience segments
Identifying timely and relevant topic areas by social platform

Creating program schedules and making recommendations
About you

3-5 years experience within social marketing
Must have previously worked within a B2C start-up.high growth environment with proven experience of managing social media
Good knowledge of all social channels
Experience using social listening tools
Have experience of working in a SME- fast paced environment
Previous experience within publishing is a bonus
Self-starter- real entrepreneurial flare
