My Client, a rapidly growing family-run retail business based in Bolton, is looking to recruit a Competent Finance Manager. There are currently 3 people in the Finance team at a lower level and all the higher level duties are outsourced to an Accountancy Firm. The aim is now to bring this back in-house and as such, this role will be a Number 1 in Finance opportunity.

Duties will include:

- Setting up the Finance systems from scratch
- Cash flow projections
- Reconciliation of Cash flow forecasting
- Monthly Management Accounts per branch
- Reconciliation of Sales Ledger as & when required
- Managing the day-to-day Finance function
- Supporting the organisation's future growth
- Providing Financial support & strategic steer to the Finance team
- Supporting the Board of Directors with future directions
- Working with the Finance team to help manage financial records / databases
- Ensuring that all income is correctly recorded & reconciled
- Helping facilitate & carry out reconciliation of all ledgers & bank accounts on a monthly basis
- Ensuring all transactions are in line with Company requirements
- Producing & managing budgets, accounts & other performance reports
- Supporting other departments on Financial requirements of their Operations
- Running Year End procedures
- Organising payment to suppliers & partners as & when required
- Contributing to the company's monthly & annual financial reporting process
- Monthly VAT Returns

Experience / Qualifications required:

- Qualified or Qualified by Experience Accountant. ACA or ACCA Qualification is highly desirable.
- At least 2-4 years Accounting experience in an Industry environment
- Sage 50 experience is advantageous but not essential
- You should be able to communicate effectively with Senior Managers / Directors, and provide accurate & concise answers to information they request
- You should be a passionate individual with a good work ethic
- Good Academic record. Ideally Degree Educated.
- Excellent Customer Service Skills
- Ability to produce reports
- Ability to work effectively & lead the Finance team
- Ability to work to tight deadlines & prioritise your workload effectively
- Excellent Written & Oral Communication Skills

This role attracts a salary of £30,000 - £40,000 + Bonus of up to £5,000 + 20 days holiday. Their working hours are Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week, with flexibility around start and finish times.
