There is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior HVAC Design Engineer to join the Design team within a very well respected company that has a strong foothold in the HVAC industry. They are well established, having been trading for over 30 years now and have amassed a large client base with several major main contractors on design and build projects.
Due to continual ongoing expansion and development they require an experienced design engineer to join the team within this highly respected company. There are fantastic training and development opportunities, with the ultimate goal of progressing up to management and running the design division.

Based in Gloucestershire, they have completed projects in some very prestigious locations through the South West of England and have an excellent reputation for completing works on time and to specification for a wide variety of different establishments.

You will be working from customer requirements, specifications and drawings, assisting in the design and development of HVAC systems that fully meet the stated requirements while maximising value for money.
Work with the contracts team to ensure customer deadlines are met and that equipment supplied meets our requirements and stated specifications.
Help evaluate new HVAC equipment and solutions and develop best practice procedures to ensure that they can deliver cost effective, optimised HVAC designs that exceed our customer expectations.
You will be undertaking a wide range of design activities, from initial inquiry through to final handover.
Your skill set should include the ability to do HVAC systems design, AUTOCAD drawings, design and build estimates, Hevacomp heat loss/gains, plant and pipework and ductwork sizing and selection and system pressure loss calculations for water and air systems.

Ideal Candidate
*Minimum HNC and/or Diploma in HVAC/Building services engineering
*Fully conversant with AutoCad, Hevacomp and Microsoft Office. With a working knowledge of Revit
*Experience in Thermal and Dynamic modelling would be beneficial
* Industry relevant experience
* Mechanical design experience (heat load, diffuser sizing, ductwork, air treatment units)
*Customer focused and confident in their own ability to provide a good service to clients.
*Professional proficiency in English language
*Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
* Candidates should be familiar with all CIBSE guides, British standards and current building regulations.
